Can’t Let Go is a series about McKenzie Scott, a correctional officer and single mother of four. McKenzie prides herself in not dealing with office gossip or being involved with someone from jail. Her previous relationship with Darius Howard brought all of this about. After being completely in love, living with him, and taking care of him after a tragic accident left him paralyzed, he decides that he is NOT ready for anything serious. WHAT??? Well he leaves her and her children high and dry.

So when Michael Welch, a new counselor at the jail, approaches McKenzie she is totally against it. She is trying to live the single life; focus on her children, her career, and God. Soon Michael comes in and sweeps her off her feet. She begins to lose sight of her goals. She is so consumed with just being in a relationship that she does not see that her ex, Darius, is entangling himself back into her life.

Fann approaches this from a real perspective. I did not really see many trials and tribulations. Most of things that happened were created by the main character and could have easily been subdued. I appreciated the realness, but felt there could have been a little more substance to the story.
