Queen Latifah’s PUT ON YOUR CROWN is a collection of defining moments in her life that taught her a lesson or helped her to realize her potential. These moments have laid the foundation for her life. Her main goal is to help build young girls’ (and women’s) self-esteem. Latifah touches on success, love, money, and fear (to name a few). She encourages women to support each other, have a team of people that can help with their goals, and draw on others for strength and wisdom.
There is a queen inside of every woman. Latifah shows how she allowed her queen to shine even through the difficult times. I enjoyed all of her stories and was able to gleam from her experiences. I recommend the book for someone looking for a pick me up or even to just put a smile on your face.
