  1. Last week I read an ARC of Michelle Lark’s ‘Til Debt Do Us Part. I have mixed emotions about this book. It will be released in June. Stay tuned for my review.

I also read The List by Sherri Lewis. This was a fun, girlie read. I can’t wait to sitdown with Sherri and talk to her about the characters. Really cute story.

Up next is Red Light Green Light by Margaret Johnson Hodge and Finding Your Faith by Stephanie Perry Moore.

I also have 2 review books I’m hoping to complete this week as well. It’s Always the Pretty Ones and Diamond Lives Platinum Lies by Vonda Howard.

    Happy reading!!!

I see we have some favorite authors in common. I too count Edwidge Danticat as one of my fav authors. I am so waiting for her next work of fiction.
And I am in the club that enjoys Toni Morrison’s writing.

Look forward to seeing what else you will be reading.

  3. Well – I am behind in my reading this past week.
I only finished one book – Red Light Green Light and it was not one of the books on my Challenge list. It was an ok read for me.
I did start my second challenge book last night – “The Summer as American Beach” by Janice Sims Dera recommended the author.
Next up on the reading list for me: Rush Home Road, Mudbound, Deadly Charm and three review books.
I also have about 15 books checked out from the library that are due by the end of April.
Yes, my eyes are bigger than my stomach. But at least now it is books and not food!

  4. For the 2nd Quarter of reading I’ve finished “The Dew Dropper” by Edwidge Danticat. She’s one of my favorite authors. I’ve also finished “My Jim” by Nancy Rawles. I plan to read more of her books. Now, I’m ending “A Mercy” by Toni Morrison. She is another favorite author. I loved, loved “The Bluest Eye.” After “A Mercy” I have to choose from a pile of books. Hmmmm. I hope I’m not too far behind. I’m going to look at the date again to see when I need to finish the 2nd Quarter of Book Challenge.
