Sassy by Gloria Mallette

Sassy by Gloria Mallette is a wonderful mix of romance, mystery and intrigue. From the beginning of the novel, the reader is pulled into a cat and mouse game of whodunit. I immediately wondered why the author was giving away the protagonist’s name, however I soon discovered that I was not as sure as I thought I was.

Sassy Davenport is a popular, romance author involved in a lackluster relationship. She desires to meet a man, much like those in her novels. One day during a signing, such a man appears in her line. Norris Yoshito is handsome, suave and charming. Immediately he is as smitten with Sassy as she is attracted to him and it is not very long before a passionate relationship ensues. However, people start to die in horrible ways and many of these people are associated with Norris. Is it possible that Sassy’s love interest is a murderer or is something more sinister at work?

Sassy is the perfect book to take along on a vacation. It is filled with suspense and romance and will keep the reader interested to the very last page. I recommend this novel to all readers who enjoy good books.
