Author Victor McGlothin penned a fast-paced novel that takes readers through twists, turns, and mouth-hanging events that will cause emotions to change from one moment to the next without a breather in between.

Pastor Richard Allamay, with his wife, Nadeen, by his side, worked hard to improve attendance, community outreach, and the spiritual aspect of Methodist Episcopal Greater Apostolic Church (M.E.G.A.).  Several ministries were established, including a television ministry, and soon a new school.  The Shepherd of M.E.G.A., with his eloquent and anointed way of preaching, drew a lot of people to the church, and increased the membership immensely.  However, who knew the day Pastor Allamay decided to shop for his own suit for Pastor’s Appreciation Day would be one to change his life forever.

Dior Wicker was the best sales lady at Giorgio’s, a high priced boutique in the mall.  Her good looks her way with men and her past experiences contributed to and helped to keep the clientele and Giorgio happy.  Her arrangement with Giorgio kept her in designer clothes, money in her pocket, and living the lifestyle she desired to live, even if she had to fake most of it until she made it.

Dior knew how to size up men for their suits and other things, so it was no surprise she was able to peg Pastor Allamay, figuring in spite of his spiritual status, he was still a man.  Counting on this, Dior made her move, inviting the Pastor into the House of Dior that is like a roach motel: you check in, but you cannot check out.
Pastor Allamay and Dior’s chance meeting was the test of the Pastor’s life, one that he would fall victim to, at first, hook, line and sinker.   Whatever it took to spend time with Dior, Pastor Allamay did just that at the chance of ruining his reputation, his family and his church family.

I found myself angry with Pastor Allamay through most of the book, trying to fathom how he could possibly jeopardize his relationship with his wife, his two daughters, and ultimately the church community at large.  Surely this man of God should have, or would have come to himself, repented and sought God for restoration.

Sinful Too shows readers how one’s actions can and will affect the lives of those you love and any work that you are doing for God.  Author McGlothin vividly detailed how infidelity affects children in a marriage and the changes and lengths they will go to in order to protect their family.  Not to mention the lives and influence the pastor had on so many people who respected him in his place.  I recommend this book to everyone and anyone who enjoys reading about drama in the church.
