Quentin Carter is a fairly new author to the street fiction genre. Recently APOOO reviewer, Darnetta Frazier had the opportunity to read Stained Cotton and her book buzz is provided below.
Stained Cotton is about a set of white sisters–Katrina and Nancy– looking to delve into the the world of black people in search of excitement. Via a set of black brothers, Qu’ban and O’ban they are more than used and abused. The sisters are heavily engrossed in the brothers and prove their loyalty by providing sexual favors for them and their friends and running drugs. When the brothers are incarcerated, the sisters learn, in more ways than one, that the hood is not always good. The title came from the the sisters’ racist parents who believed that white people who have relationships with black people are tainted; thus Stained Cotton.
