LEAST FAVORITE –I didn’t really have one least favorite books.  There were several that didn’t really stand out from the crowd, but they were still enjoyable reads at that moment.

Fast Forward/March 2009:

  1. Hey Yas, I’m right there with you on trying to work down my TBR pile. i’m doing it slowly, but surely. You did knock quite a few out for February.

  2. Hey Jennifer and thanks…and given that you are also in school I can understand if it takes you longer to work yours down.

  3. The Hood Life by De’nesha Diamond & Meesha Mink – 3
Basketball Jones by E. Lynn Harris – 3
My Little Secret by Anna J – 3
    That Life by A.R. Hilton – 4.5
Home Wrecker by Dwayne Joseph – 4
Thirsty by Mike Sanders – 5
Little Black Girl Lost 4 by Keith Lee Johnson – 4
    The Bishop’s Daughter by Tiffany L. Warren – 4

Most favorite: THIRSTY – layered story, full of drama and action and good character development
Least favorite: BASKETBALL JONES – very predictable and I’m tired of the same pattern that his books have taken recently

  4. Hey Ms. Toni understand about E. Lynn…I think the reason I got through this one and enjoyed it is because I didn’t read his last one…oh yeah and this was a library book…I no longer purchase his books.

  5. WOW – you really got your read on — and it was a short month :)

I am also trying to get my TBR pile down but other books seem to keep calling me

  6. Hey Beverly what books called you recently?

  7. Rewind/ February 2009 (10 books)
Two Thin Dimes by Caleb Alexander – 3
The Resurrection of Me by Tonya Blount- 5
What Doesn’t Kill You by DeBerry & Grant- 5
    Sinful by Victor McGlothin- 3
In Firm Pursuit by Pamela Samuels Young-5
    Donna’s Dilemma by Brian W. Smith-3
    The Bishop’s Daughter by Tiffany L. Warren-5
    Ghetto Resume by Freddie Simmons-3
Work What You Got by Stephanie Perry Moore-3

MOST FAVORITE- Trouble In My Way. Very good read about a young girl who knows that she’s doing wrong, yet doesn’t know why she keeps falling into the same trap.

LEAST FAVORITE- Work What You Got. Didn’t feel as if the author really considered the audience had a very difficult time believing the characters were college age.
