While summer has some baggage, for me it’s very small compared to all of the pluses, which make me want to hold on to summer for as long as I can and impossible for me to let go easily. For many of us summer ends when the kids head back to school…and/or Labor Day is upon us…I am still not ready to put away my summer clothes, my LIGHT COLORED SHOES…heck not even my sandals…lol.

Who’s watching the 2008 Summer Olympics? Opening ceremony is this evening and the family and I will be there front and center along with a few of our friends. Oh yeah, it’s a house party for us…lol. I’ve been into the Olympics for the last 30some years –the summer Olympics that is. Once i realized what the summer Olympics were, I loved watching them. While there are many memorable moments, most of them, like the ones listed below I couldn’t identify with because I wasn’t born when they occured.
