  1. I am thankful that I am able to see another Thanksgiving which is my favorite holiday of all; Christmas is alright, but to me, having a nice meal and being able to sit down and eat a good meal and not worry about calories as much and enjoy good company to me is the ultimate. I lost my job last year, and this year, I have only been able to work part time and when I can and I am grateful for that because that let’s me know that in this time I can do some great things for myself if I want to as well as be a help to someone. Now we sit and cook great meals, but if you know someone who is alone and may not have someone to be with, give them a meal. they would be grateful to you.

  2. @ Nandi thanks for coming through and sharing your thoughts and I pray that you will find a full-time job soon. What’s your field and where are you located? You know there are only six degrees of separation…and you never know who knows someone who might be able to help you.

  3. I am thankful I have a roof over my head because I have been in a personal recession for over 4 years now.

  4. I am thankful for the fact that I have a home that my father and his wife, who has alzheimers, could come live in after Hurricane Ike put five feet of water in their home in Galveston. I am still thankful that a year later we are still doing well. God has provided everything that we have needed even when the insurance company refused to pay the full benefit of the policy, so that my father could fix his home, even though my father has faithfully paid their premiums for forty years. We are thankful for our reasonably good health, strength, shelter and clothing (that we are still replacing). I just wish someone else would do the cooking for a change…LOL

  5. I am thankful for being here with all the possibilities and opportunities that a day holds. I am most grateful for where my offspring are at in their respective lives….thriving, striving, being productive and being independent. Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday and fall is my favorite season. This time of the year brings forth reflection and feelings that are truly right on the surface. I relish in family and friends (near and far) I must acknowledge having truly been blessed to meet and engage with some of the most loving spirits brought together by our love of books.

I am saddened as this was Mom’s time of the year….she was one of life’s greatest blessings and I am so grateful to have had her. I dearly miss her. The grand baby….simply life renewing. Watching her grow, learn, develop and be is simply marvelous. WOW!!

As for why I am in life at this moment, I am grateful for my family, my friends, my book clubs (BevLand, LoveAltonya, MaureenSmith and Shelfari to name a few), with facebook (where I get to engage with many, many authors who I am so very impressed by their abilities to be such and I get to know the personal them), the job (where I work but am also able to help to somebody on a regular basis) and being steady with my health, reduction in weight and mere existence.

I am blessed beyond measure and during those moments when “things get at you and on you”, I am grateful for the lessons that reveal the blessings. I am simply basking in gratitude especially for the simple things….feeling the cool air, watching it rain, enjoying that morning cup of coffee, reading a good book and so on, on, on, on. Life is good, can be better but good no less.

HAVE A WONDERFULLY BLESSED AND ENJOYABLE THANKSGIVING Y’ALL!!

  7. I am thankful that both my parents lived to see my novel, Secrets and Lies released. I dedicated the novel to my aunt Laura who very much wanted to see the novel finished, but died three years ago. I have had to forgive myself for my procrastination and really accept that God’s timing is always the right time, so it’s okay. She’s looking down on me from heaven and she’s smiling. So, I thank God that my parents held my book last week and got the chance to tell me how very proud they are. Can you tell I’m crying? I am very thankful indeed.

  8. I am thankful to rise up every morning and see another day. Thankful that God has seen me through some difficult times. I look back on my days of not having a job after 25 years and my husband laid off for 8 months and my son hospitalized; all at the same time. What a journey. That saying what don’t kill you will make you stronger is so true. Thankful that a year later I was able to find another job and my husband was able to retire. Son is doing well and so is my daughter. Thanksgiving is the perfect time to enjoy family and friends. Lost some close relatives this year and I am thankful to enjoy those that are still among us. Thankful for the support of my bookclubs: Brenda Jackson, Bevlanders (Beverly Jenkins) Maureen Smith, Niobia Bryant. It is so refreshing to have bookclubs, especially Bevlanders, that can talk about anything including books, but especially a support system for all of us who ask for advice, prayer or to just vent sometimes. Thank you God for giving me a wonderful husband of 27 years and two adorable grown children and a precious granddaughter.

  9. I’m thankful that when I am at my wits end I have not lost my mind, my job, my home or my kids. I’m walking in faith that all of my woes, heartbreak, and poor judgement will be turned around and I will succeed and PROSPER!

The Winds are Shifting and my favor is coming!

  10. I am thankful because last year this time I was not well. I was suffering from asthma and other respiratory problems and had to run back and forth to the emergency room. Then I was diagnosed with a staff infection and hospitalized. After coming out of the hospital I was on antibiotics at home which confined my movement. Life was difficult and trying, but I thank God because I overcame that. Although I continued to have health challenges and in June I was diagnosed with sarcoidosis. I am thankful because I am alive, I am feeling much better and I am able to spend time with my family tomorrow. I look forward to continued healing and restored health. That is why I am thankful.

  11. November 25

    Happy Thanksgiving

I know that Thanksgiving has barely arrived in the United States but here in Germany, we are up putting the finishing touches on what we started cooking last night. It’s 8:13 a.m. here and I for one am multi-tasking as usual. I am making potato salad and blogging at the same time. However, I wanted to drop a line to all of the readers and say have a blessed and safe holiday as well as tell you guys what I am thankful for, so here it goes. I am thankful for my relationship with Jesus Christ, my husband and my wonderful children – who all slept in our bed last night and almost knocked me off the bed. I am also thankful for my students that I teach, they bring me so much joy, even though they can be quite lazy at times. Last but not least I am thankful for my team (editor, graphic designer, publicist and reviewers) that helps me to get these books done and all my readers, new ones, acquired ones and the ones to come. Have a bless day everyone and don’t forget to take some time to tell God just how thankful you are.

    Much love,
    C. M. Jones

  12. I am thankful that for my job in this recession so I can help other family members who need a helping hand.
I am thankful for the additions to my family this year.

  13. I am thankful to God for His many creations. I am thankful for all the divine connections I’ve made both in the literary arena and that in my church community. I am thankful for the gift to help others, in what ever capacity that I can.

This year I am performing and directing my inspirational stage production: God Knows My Heart! I will be collecting nonperishable food items and warm clothing for those who are experiencing economic hardship this christmas season. I will be donating a copy of newly release christian suspense, Love Found Me, to a blessed audience member! HAPPY AND SAFE HOLIDAYS EVERYONE!

  18. Thanks everyone! I just found out I won, because I’ve been preoccupied with insurance companies after my dad insisted he had to go to WalMart on the one day it snowed is SE Texas and had a wreck with a FedEx Semi. He’s fine. His truck didn’t make it though.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to everyone!

  19. @ Marguerite so sorry to hear about your dad and I’m happy to hear he’s fine (even tho’ the truck isn’t). When you get a moment please email me your mailing address. Thanks much.
