I don’t want to grow up…because I’m a big kid at heart…lol. Schools back in session, my kids returned to school this week, but I’m not ready for summer to end. I still want to enjoy the leisurely pace of summer, the warm, bright days, daylight savings time. But, all seasons come to an end…and fortunately some of them like spring, summer and autumn come around again. As August comes to a close, and the Hot Fun in the Summertime feature winds down, I want it go out with a BIG SCREAM. So, today, I’m spotlighting ROLLER-COASTERS. Ever since that first-time, over 30 years ago, when I waited for hours to get on Disney World’s Space Mountain ride, I’ve been a big roller-coaster fan. I like them all –steel based, wood foundations and everything in between. Oh yeah, the faster, the taller, the more loops, dramatic drops, twists and turns, the better. I love the thrill of it all.

Thirteen Favorite ROLLERCOASTERS–Listed below, in no particular order, are 13 of my favorite roller-coaster rides.
- The Incredible Hulk/Islands of Adventure
- Spiderman/Islands of Adventure
- The Dueling Dragons/Islands of Adventure
- Flight of Fear/Kings Island
- Storm Runner/Hershey Park
- The Desperado/Buffalo Bill’s Casino, Primm, NV
- Superman/Six Flags
- Ghost Rider/Knotts Berry Farm, CA
- Big Thunder Mountain/Disney World
- Batman/Six Flags
- Top Thrill Dragster/Cedar Point, OH
- Lochness Monster/Busch Gardens
- Millennium Force/Cedar Point, OH

My 13 are listed, I do hope you can find time to stop over! happy thursday
The roller coaster?! All of that twisting and turning and going upside down? Well go ‘head then. As for me, I’ll stick with the bumper cars (smile).

Any rollarcoaster for ME!!… YEAH
Cilla…hey…hey…FINALLY someone who enjoys rollercoasters as much as I do…I was beginning to think that only me and a few men enjoyed riding roller coasters.
Ghost Rider from Knotts Berry Farm is the only rollarcoaster I’ve ever been on, and I quickly decided that I hate rollarcoasters. I don’t think I’ll be going on another one any time soon, if ever.
Happy Thursday!

I LOVE Rollercoasters, too. But, I haven’t ridden too many. I’ve been to Disneyland, Magic Mountain, and a few other places. Probably the scariest one for me is the one atop New York New York in Las Vegas. It’s okay as an actual rollercoaster goes, but being on top of a building adds another aspect of thrill that’s something else!
Thanks for visiting my TT!
Soleil–I think most folks either love ‘coasters or hate them.
Denise–the one atop NN/LV is awesome because of what you said– being on top of a building.
I love roller coaster too. So much fun. We just took our 4 year old on her first coaster this summer. She loved it. Great TT and thanks for stopping by mine.

i was in my 40s before i rode my first roller coaster. and was instantly hooked. i was hooked on screaming. i haven’t had a fix since this week in 8 years. .ahhhhhhh. i could use a good scream right now.
i wish i could have attended the convention in Denver they are sure having a screaming good time there aren’t they? I can’t believe i just said that. I hate crowds. They trigger panic attacks. But something about watching THIS crowd on tv all week….
thanx for visiting my Joy Sayings list

I love roller coasters. When I was in Cali I used to take my boys to Magic Mountain (Six Flags) every year. My favorite ride is the Goliath over there. I’ve been to the Six Flags near DC and my favorite ride was Batman.
Can’t wait to go to another amusement park soon (hopefully). I want to go to Hershey Park, I’ve hear so much about it.
Hey Drea when you decide to go to Hershey Park give me a call…I’m only 20 minutes from that park and they do have some great roller coaster rides.
I love the Batman ride. I’ve seen more shoes lost under that thing.
