  1. Carrie and Texas Chainshaw Massacre is definitely on my list of favorites. I would have to add Exorcism of Emily Rose and the Saw series to the list….These are some of the only horror movies that can get my attention….Most horror movies end up putting me to sleep

  2. I agree regarding Saw…

  3. I was afraid of Stephen King’s “It”

  4. I have way too fertile of an imagination to watch those horror movies. Plus reality is horrifying enough for me.

  10. After Hours…Mike Meyers rocks scary…lol.

  12. Poltergeist scared the living crap out of me! Carol Ann…don’t go into the light…lol

Christine was the car movie I believe and that was freaky more than scary to me. Other scary movies I liked were:

    He Knows You’re Alone
    Amityville Horror
Child’s Play (That Chucky was a MONSTER and I always hated dolls)
It (can’t stand clowns to this day!)
    Final Destination
    The Descent
    Mirrors
    Slumber Party Massacre
    Candyman
    Prom Night
    Pet Cemetary
    Cujo
    Children of the Corn
    Stigmata
    Parasite
    Stir of Echos

    etc, etc…lol

    I LOVE horror/thriller and comedies!

  22. Darnetta, It was a very scary movie. If you aren’t scared of clowns, you will be after watching it. I love watching scary movies. I will watch one by myself but then sleep with all the lights on. lol The new movies that come out don’t really scare me as much as some of the older ones you all have mentioned.

  23. I have always been too much of a chicken to watch Saw, but The Birds, Pycho, Halloween, Seven, The Shining and The Omen are on my list of creepers. I’d like to add a few more:

The Town That Dreaded Sundown(1976 so it’s an old one, made for t.v. I think)
When A Stranger Calls (the original one – talk about scary)
    Helter Skelter (1976 version)
    The Sixth Sense
    Silence of the Lambs
Hellraiser (can’t say I saw the end. I left the threatre)

  24. As much as I hate being scared, I must admit I’ve watched and enjoyed several of the flicks on your list. My favorites: The Birds, The Shining, Seven and Poltergeist. For some reason, those “dolls coming to life” movies, like Chucky freak me out. But the hubby is the real scary cat in our family. I remember us trying to watch a Chucky flick late one evening, when all of a sudden my big strapping guy jumps up and was like, “Hell, let me go and make sure all of these d@mn windows are closed!” I laughed so hard I couldn’t even finish watching the movie.

    Lori´s last blog post..

  25. I agree Lori, I dont do scary but did watch The Shining because while reading that book, when I got to within 4-5 chapters to the end, I HID the book and didnt find it until I moved YEARS later.
::trying to remember if I EVER read the end::: LOLLOL
I also LOVED Carrie and watched it recently. Birds was good and lets not forget PSYCHO-to this DAY I get “a bit crazy” in a shower in a hotel room LOLLOL Omen…who can forget that elevator scene. I dont watch too many present day films because they make no sense. One that comes to mind are the Saw movies…YIKES

  26. I don’t watch scary/horror movies. I have too fertile an imagination to let that kind of stuff in. It would haunt me forever. That said, the last one I saw was The Exorcist right after it came out (sooooo long ago). I was 17, I think. It has lasted me all these years.

    Thanks for visiting my TT!

  27. I’m with Denise!. The only ones I’ve seen are Psycho and Carrie. I was a few chapters in to reading Carrie when I went to see the movie and the next day – when it was broad daylight – I burnt the book! It is the only book I ever burned…

  28. Everybody keeps mentioning It, I guess I need to add that to my list….I love watching horror movies just to see everybody around me get scared lol

  29. I agree with Saw 1-4, part 5 will be in theatres this month

    Final Destination
I Know What You Did Last Summer
    Halloween

  30. i think allof mine are listed:

Pet Cemetary(Hated 2..they should have left it alone)
    Carrie
    Saw(those are just disturbing)
    It
Child’s Play(my brother had a My Buddy when that came out. My father wanted to know why it was in the floor of his office when he came home. That doll kept looking at me)
Candyman(I still can not stand to see that man act in anything else. Ijust see the Candy Man…those bees)

  31. The only one of those that I haven’t seen is Aliens. Most of the ones on your list scare the crud out of me! I don’t like to be scared too much! Great list.
