Walter Moseley (I’ve never read any of his writings but I thought maybe)

For those of you saying Mary Higgins Clark, I couldn’t agree with you more. I learned about her through the movie version of her books. Then got hooked reading them some years ago. Barbara Taylor Bradford is a good choice as well.
So many people so many choices. I used to read Anne Rice years ago.
Joyce Carol Oates should be on there as well I think.

It think it’s amazing that a woman is at the top – that’s never ever happened before. EVER. White men have held all of the top 10 spots forever. So good for her!

Hey Claudia…I agree it is amazing that a woman is at the TOP…!
V.C. Andrews
I thought Mary Higgins Clark – and not just because she’s one of my fave authors.
Oddly enough, RaTasha, I was thinking V.C. Andrews, too. She’s long passed, but she wrote so many story ideas and notes and other things that her estate still pumps out books every year. My mother was ADDICTED to reading Andrews years ago and even got me into her.

Jodi Picoult
Okay…I hit enter too soon! LOL! But I agree with Mary Higgins Clark as well.
Interesting list. I have read books by five of them.
