Everyone knows that relationships come and go even though the emotional impact stays. They say not to hold your current lover responsible for what your past lover has done. It is hard not to. In Til’ It Happens To You by Kristofer Clarke readers learn about hidden secrets and past discretions that come back to haunt Trevor and Jackson.
Trevor Harrison has been anticipating the arrival of his new partner, Jackson. Trevor knows that his feelings and relationship with Jackson is genuine. What Trevor does not know is how he let a friendship with an influential attorney get out of control. Trevor soon finds out that he is not the only one who knows his secrets and the person is willing to tell unless Trevor finds him or her first.
Jackson Bradley is ready to start his life over with a new relationship and new location. Jackson has taken on a new and promising position working in politics in Washington, DC. He has no worries since he will be sharing his experiences with his partner, Trevor. Jackson’s past catches up to him and will force him to question what is real in his life and if trust is still an important factor.
Til’ It Happens To You is about dishonesty and betrayal. It provides a clear view of two individuals running from their past and creating unhealthy futures. It is true that you can run but you cannot hide and it is apparent in this story. I enjoyed reading this book even though it is not a typical storyline that would interest me. It has a mystery element that held my attention. It was an entertaining book and the ending surprised me. I recommend Til’ It Happens To You to others.
