Okay I narrowed my list down and the books that made my Top 10 of the decade(in alphabetical order) are:

A Love Noire by Erica Simone Turnipseed

New Moon’s Arms by Nalo Hopkins

Prospero’s Daughter by Elizabeth Nunez

Sugar by Bernice McFadden

They Tell Me of a Home by Daniel Black

This Side of the Sky by Elyse Singleton

Unburnable by Elena Marie Jones

Check out the full list. My all-time favorite book however is still Mama Day by Gloria Naylor.
