In 140 words or less, describe what Christmas decoration you would be and why?
Probably tinsel, because I may be cute and sparkly, but I can be a pain to get rid of once I’ve gotten good in comfortable in one place. :)   LOL…love your answer.

In 140 words or less, describe why your latest release would make a wonderful Christmas present? That’s easy. My latest release, a holiday anthology with fellow authors Stefanie Worth and Phyllis Bourne Williams, captures the very essence of the holidays. In my contribution, A CHANGE OF HEART, a couple whose marriage is on the rocks rediscovers what they first loved about each other while away at a cozy mountain retreat. It is the perfect story to get you in the mood for the holidays.

If you were one of the 12 days of Christmas items, what would you be and why?
The nine ladies dancing. That’s the closest one that resembles one of the things I love most, getting together with my friends and having a great time.

Share your most memorable childhood Christmas experience. I’m not sure I have just one. Being a part of a huge extended family that got together for every major holiday, I’d say it’s just a combination of all those Christmases spent by my grandmother, opening presents, eating good food, and lusting after the unopened gifts under the tree. I could never understand how some of my cousins could just let their presents sit unopened. Me either…I remember one year I opened all of my presents EARLY and rewrapped them…lol.  Now the great thing about that is that I NEVER did it again because it was hard as heck trying to pretend I was surprised when I wasn’t…hehe.

What was the best present you received as a child? A hand-held Casio TV when I was in the 7th grade. I got it specifically so I could watch the opening of The Guiding Light while on my way home.  That was a great gift…and chuckling about watching the Guiding Light as you walked home.

What has been the best present you’ve received as an adult? Cash. I just always seem to need it.  Don’t we all.

What’s your favorite Christmas dish? My mom’s oyster dressing.

What’s your favorite Christmas song? Too many favorites: Donnie Hathaway’s This Christmas, Gladys Knight and the Pips version of Do You Hear What I Hear, and O’ Holy Night and These Three Kings. I love Christmas music.

What’s your favorite Christmas movie? A Christmas Story

What’s your favorite Christmas drink? Eggnog

It’s Christmas Eve and we saw you kissing Santa Claus…describe what your ‘Santa Baby’ looks like. Cute, cute, and cute!

What’s the best thing about Christmas? Celebrating the birth of Christ and everything He has meant to my world.

Complete the phrases…
It doesn’t feel like Christmas
until I put up Christmas decorations.
Books are always on my Christmas list.  Mine too!
My Christmas traditions include exchanging gifts with friends.
Food for the Poor is one charity that I recommend others donate to during the holidays (and all year-round).
My church (love midnight mass with the choir singing) has the best Christmas services (and New Year’s ain’t bad either.)

And because APOOO is a book club…and we need to talk about books before we leave…please answer the following questions:
Excluding books written by you, what five books are you recommending to others as Christmas gifts this year.

Suzanne Brockmann’s DARK OF NIGHT
Gwyneth Bolton’s PROTECT AND SERVE
Shannon K. Butcher’s NO REGRETS
Marsha Moyer’s THE SECOND COMING OF LUCY HATCH
Robyn Carr’s A VIRGIN RIVER CHRISTMAS

What was the last book you read that:
made you cry?   Linda Howard’s CRY NO MORE
made you laugh?  Christie Craig’s DIVORCE, DESPERATE & DELICIOUS
made you use all five senses? Brenda Jackson’s THE CHASE IS ON
was in a genre you don’t normally read? My critique partner Shauna Roberts’ ICE MAGIC, FIRE MAGIC
used location as a character? Sandra Brown’s CHILL FACTOR

Wonderful review Farrah!  Thank you for spending time with APOOO and participating in the Twelve Days of Christmas Virtual Book Tour and Books Giveaway.

DISCUSSION TOPIC

Day Five, Old Version–Five Golden Rings

TODAY’S DISCUSSION QUESTION:  Day Five, Modern Version–When I think of the five golden rings, I think of the Olympics.  The five rings represent the five major regions of the world: Africa, the Americas, Asia, Europe, and Oceania.  With that in mind, let’s take a trip…to each region.  Name one country/city that you would like to visit in each region.

(My answers–Africa, Egypt; Americas–hmmm I want to visit South America rainforests; Asia–Phillipines…the beaches baby…lol; Europe–hands down Frances–because I want to experience it with my husband; Oceania–New Zealand…but given the beautiful beaches/water, I think I could do almost any of these countries.)
