Knowing Her Inside Out
Back From Venus, a poetic story of the innermost, deepest of the deep, thoughts of a man who knows his woman. Through a series of poems, Scotty Green tells of the different emotions felt while with his woman. Mr. Green has a very unique voice.
In “She’s Southern Cookin” he describes a woman, who can be classy, sassy, romantic and tomboy. A keep it real type of woman, not afraid to get down and dirty, but cleans up when she needs to. A woman, who at times, thinks like a man; enjoying a quickie and keeping her true feelings hidden. Mr. Green was pure genius for closing his book with “A Flash in Forever.” I read this piece several times. I loved it. It is a goodbye letter to a woman from her man who has passed on. He apologized for the things he said he would do but did not, for leaving her too early. Giving her the encouragement she needs to keep carrying on, even though she is hurting and missing him. Assuring her when it is her time he will be at the crossroads waiting.
Back From Venus by Scotty Green is entertaining, each poem offers something different. It is good to read a variety, and not just a book full of sex descriptions or the curvature of a woman’s body, but an in-depth drawing of the woman in whole; from her inside to her outside. However, the PDF I read is in need of serious editing. The errors can take away from an otherwise outstanding piece. I recommend Back From Venus to men who need a lesson in romancing their women, and to women who want to see how a true man appreciates a woman.
