Do you believe in karma? Do you believe in reaping what you sow? I guess the main character in Walk A Mile by Ebonee Monique missed the memo. While reading this book, I realized that you cannot take a person’s love or their feelings for granted. Syndee Allen an advertising executive who brains, body, and street smarts, which makes her every man’s dream. However, you never judge a book by its cover because appearances can be misleading.

Syndee decides to leave her troubled relationship behind by moving to a new city, taking on a new job, and some new extracurricular activities. She enjoys the single life until she is caught up in a triangle of deceit. The funny thing about it, Syndee does not know that she is playing the game. After being in her new city and new job for a while, Syndee believes she has found Mr. Right and falls head over heels in love. Russell is everything Syndee wants in a man and she is drawn to everything about him. When Russell reveals information that he has been keeping from her, Syndee must decide whether to let him go or to keep him around.

Walk A Mile is a book about revenge and the after effects. The author provided a twist toward the end of the book that was unexpected and shocking. The characters were mischievous and some downright conniving. The book also expresses how a person can react when their emotions have been put to the test. I did find some grammatical errors and interior layout mishaps, but these did not take away from the book’s message. I recommend this book to others.
