Has anyone heard of John Coleman? Hmmm…each of us probably knows someone named John Coleman. LOL. But, this John Coleman recently made the news because of inappropriate behavior. While in the Inaugural Parade, he was in the President’s eye range, caught the President’s attention, and waved and nodded. Very friendly gesture. Apparently, too friendly, because he was suspended from his job for six months. Is that ludicrous or what?
BTW, the President appeared to have also acknowledged him by smiling and waving (first). So, I guess Coleman was supposed to just ignore the President? For real? How many of us could have ignored Barack Obama…hehe.
On a serious note, he was said to have violated the proper decorum required while in a military parade and was reportedly told beforehand not to make any gestures during the parade.

I think taking his job away is way excessive. I mean, I know that they have to stick by a code and what not, but it’s the freaking president. At the very least they could just reprimand him, maybe post him somewhere less “enjoyable,” or something. I think it’s absurd to take his job from him for waving and smiling. If he had maybe done something really bad while in uniform, then I’d understand, but he didn’t.

OK…raising my hand…I could not ignore the president..LOL
that is really rather extreme to me. I feel bad for the guy. there should be some sort of bend to the rule since it was the president.

Well I guess I would have lost my job too. Because I would have acknowledged him (The President) too. It’s called courtesy. Leave it to the haters to make something out of nothing.

I heard about this. I think it’s crazy. He was excited…they should give him a break.
