Avah LaReaux’s What’s Done in the Dark, the first book in her Lost and Found Series, delved into the reality of the true meaning of family, love and forgiveness. Marcus Clayton admitted he made a mistake when he constantly cheated on his wife, Lynette. He thought he had it made when they remarried. But when his past caught up with his peaceful home life, things changed faster than either he or Lynette could imagine. Would Lynette be able to handle this new revelation?
Lynette had her own dose of stress weighing on her body. When Marcus took notice of the change in his wife, he realized he had been in the dark as well. What secrets had Lynette been keeping from him? Would he be able to get past them and stand by her no matter what?
What’s Done in the Dark by Avah LaReaux is a quick, emotional read. There are no dull moments at all. However, the editing needs to be more polished. I recommend this book to a reader looking for something light and fast-paced.
