Okay, he didn’t do all of that but President Obama and I are rooting for the same team to win the Super Bowl–the Pittsburgh Steelers!  Given that Arizona ain’t no blue state and that Andy Rooney, a long-standing Republican, crossed party lines and supported Obama…hmmm could he NOT cheer for the Steelers…hehe.Go Coach Tomlin!  Go Hines!  Come on Big Ben!  Bring it on home for us!  Hehe.

Now on a serious note, most of us know that Super Bowls have been blow-outs more often than not and snooze fest by the second half.  But, it’s one time when folks actually watch commercials, because lets face it, they’re pretty darn good entertainment during this event.   Many of us have favorites that stay with us long after the ad campaign has ended.

DISCUSSION QUESTION:  What’s your favorite Super Bowl commercial?

I like the comraderie of the Super Bowl.  Even if one doesn’t attend the live game, lets face it, most of us won’t…lol…it can still be a festive, party like environment. Many of us take the opportunity to either host a party or get together with others for some finger-lickin’ good food.  For us, it’s lots of appetizers and the menu generally includes:

Wings

Meatballs

artichoke dip

chicken tenders

baby back ribs

chips and dips

seven layer salad

veggie tray

desserts

beer, wine, crown royal, run, vodka, martinis
