Bible quote many people have heard more than once is “Vengeance is mine.” Revenge can seem very sweet while plotting it, but after the action is carried out, can one truly say it was as sweet as expected? A Woman’s Revenge, by Tiffany L. Warren, Sherri Lewis, and Rhonda McKnight, is a book of three short Christian fiction stories shining a light on the actual satisfaction of getting even.

In “A Slim Chance” by Tiffany L. Warren, Nadine will stop at nothing to get Jamal, the man she loves. She has gone as far as to have an appearance-altering procedure. This is all the confidence she needed to pledge her undying love for him. However, when Nadine returns she finds out her best friend, Angelique, is engaged to Jamal. Instead of being happy for her friends, Nadine’s blood is boiling from the ultimate betrayal. How far will she go to get her man? Will it all be worth it when all is said and done?

Sabrina has no one in the world except for Blake, her fiancé. She dreams of what the future holds for them. However, when she learns there is another woman in Blake’s life, Sabrina is devastated. Her body is filled with rage when she realizes the other woman is no other than her estranged mother. In “The Sweet Taste of Revenge” by Sherri Lewis, mother and daughter put aside their differences long enough to seek revenge on the man who has hurt them. How far are they willing to go to relish sweet revenge?

In “A Piece of Revenge” by Rhonda McKnight, Tamera could see her dream of opening a center for underprivileged youths finally coming true. However, on the morning of what should have been a great day, she learns all of the funds is missing and so is Leon, her husband. When the police and a lawyer leave her with no other choice, Tamera hires a private investigator to find Leon. What will she do to Leon once he is found?

A Woman’s Revenge is a very quick read. One day is all it took for me to finish. The stories were entertaining and engaging. I found myself talking aloud to the characters, even at the end. I was literally winded by this book. My mind was reeling from everything that went on. There were a few mistakes, but nothing that took away from any of the stories. This book is not only for readers of the Christian fiction genre, but for people who want to know exactly how sweet is revenge.

  1. Thanks for the great review, Jennifer. I’m glad you enjoyed it and recommend it for non-Christian readers also. That’s what we always want to hear!
