I will be interested in your thoughts on Scottsboro. I thought the writing was just very good and beautiful for a painful subject. But it looks like your read after that will need to be a “happy” read as your last couple of books have been on some deep subjects.

I’m getting back on track after spending a week on Midnight, which I really liked. I am now reading a thriller, Don’t Ever Tell by Brian Massey. I am scheduled to read National Book Award nominee, Telex From Cuba, but I think I will slip a quick romance in there. I just received The Way You Love Me by Francis Ray, either that or Seduced by Moonlight by Janice Sims. I will be on vacation after Friday and I hope to do some marathon reading. Some of the books include:
Straight Outta East Oakland-local writer last name Williams
Hemingses of Monticello- National Book Award winner- Annette Gordon Reed
Palace Council- Stephen Carter
Some more I can’t remember.
