Eighteen year-old Brian Moore is at a crossroads in his young life. He is all about getting money, no matter how he has to get it; from robberies to stick-ups, he will do anything and will not let anything or anyone stand in his way. From his baby mama drama, family drama and his boys, the streets seem to slowly suck him in. His fiancee, Sonia, is the only person in his life that brings about stability. Sonia wants more than the hood life and wants Brian to leave the streets alone. The question is what will Brian choose, the streets or his fiancee?
Arlene Braithwaite pens a novel that is not your typical street-lit novel. The story flows from the first page. I found that I could not put this book down. I literally read this book in one day. Ms. Braithwaite will have you quickly turning the pages to find out what happens next. You will be floored when it is all said and done. I thought this was an excellent novel and I look forward to reading more from this author. She definitely has her own unique writing style that I enjoyed reading.
